ohh...my skin?

Hello ,

These past weeks, a lot has happened that not only need to be addressed but should be discontinued.

Racism will continue because most of us are not comfortable in our own skin and so we are lost trying to do the wrong things and be in the wrong circle all for validation.

Do not allow yourself be validated by external things but by what is on your inside.

I am black and proud but some person see black as being dirty, poor, unkempt and not good enough. They attribute the color of my skin to demeaning things ....why?

I walk into a place looking all natural in my Ankara dress and some folks will feel I am not classy enough or good enough....why so much pressure?

No,I am not my dress neither am I my skin. I have a soul and this body is my abode.

You find so many folks paying more attention to a better dressed person as though being well dressed denotes a well behaved human or wealth.

There is nothing wrong in being well dressed but don't loose your significance in the process.

Nobody should make you feel you are not good enough just because you don't have what they have or because you can't afford those luxury now.

You have an identity, don't lose it or allow any one make you feel inferior because of your skin, dress, accent, tribe etc.

Be weary of those who cannot roll with you when you are struggling to 'become' something but are all over you when you 'become' because technically you are not worth much but they are only here for the fame.

You are what you are, with or without those fancy adornments.

If you have them, please wear but if you don't, come as you are and carry yourself with confident.

Some times, there is this too much pressure to live up to the expectations that others have of us.

𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐤𝐞 𝐢𝐭!!!

Be unapologetic you ....not a copy.

Xoxo
