Would You Learn More If You Actually Knew How to Watch the Game?

Here’s a real question for you —
If there was a structured way to watch game film…
To actually see the game like a pro scout or player development coach does —
would that interest you?
Because that’s exactly what we’re building next.
Over the past few weeks, inside Ubuntu Basketball, we’ve been developing something new:
🎥 ProLab Player-Led Film Course
This isn’t your usual “watch highlights, pause, and comment” course.
It’s a structured program that teaches players and coaches to think through film like professionals.
You’ll learn how to:
- Recognize true triggers in actions (Create → Maintain → Convert), not just the pass or shot.
- Read defensive coverage and rotations in real time (stunt, peel, x-out, tag-high).
- Identify opponent and teammate tendencies in your league, with EuroLeague/NBA/FIBA clips used as reference models.
- Build your own decision framework (shot spectrum + Time-to-Decision) that transfers directly to your games.
- Turn clips into small-sided constraints with rules, clocks, and KPIs you can run weekly.
Format:
- 7 core modules (delivered as 12 short lectures) with a weekly loop you can run for 4–12 weeks depending on your season rhythm.
- Tools unlock as you progress: ACI tag schema, TTD log, one-page report, clip→constraint worksheets, dashboards.
We use this process inside ProLab. Players stop watching passively, start seeing patterns, and their decisions get faster and cleaner—so performance finally makes sense.
This course is being built right now.
And when it drops — it’ll be one of the most detailed looks into basketball IQ, CLA, and decision-making you’ve ever seen.
