Carrifran Walk & Talk - looking forward to seeing you!
Jul 30, 2025 9:16 am
Hello
I’m so looking forward to seeing you on Friday. And according to my weather app it will be warm and dry. Yay!
There are only 5 spaces in the car park, so if you are intending to meet us there could you let me know so I know what wiggle room there is for the car sharers. Otherwise we can meet at the Waterwheel Cafe in Selkirk at 9.45.
And don’t forget a picnic!
We anticipate this to be a 3 hour walk, but for those of you who may wish to make it a shorter trip - or you may not be feeling too fit at the moment, I thought I’d share the route.
The first part of the walk is up to the sheep stell/ viewpoint which is a 20 minute walk along a path & boardwalk.
After spending some time there, we will walk further up the glen, possibly as far as the old rowan 'survivor tree'.
Anyone who is less fit could remain at the stell or make their way back to the cars on a circular route. A camping chair might help.
The theme for this walk is Creating Something From Nothing. Something to reflect on while we explore this beautiful space. This is the perfect illustration of the actualisation of a collective vision that is good for the world.
This is a reminder that planning ahead is worth it.
Sharing your vision and bringing others on board is worth it.
Creating something out of nothing is worth it.
Being patient is worth it.
And remembering that anything that is worth anything takes time.
