Hi ,

18 and 24

We had two important celebrations in our household this weekend.

Sunday, my daughter turned eighteen, which blows me away. (I don't feel old enough to have an adult daughter, but here we are!)

She's smart, creative, and funny (case in point: her ironic birthday t-shirt), and I'm so proud to be her mom.

The next day, which was Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in the U.S., my husband and I celebrated our 24th anniversary.

I'm so, so thankful for him in my life.
