Hi friends,

Four days ago, I asked people to write memories and encouraging words for Jason's birthday. Well, y'all came through, big time. I got 98 responses!! I gave him a book of everyone's words tonight, and we cried as I read him a few of them. We'll keep reading them together in the upcoming days.

In this phase of life, Jason is learning how important he is to so very many people. I know that's a huge gift for him.

The kids gave him meaningful cards, and Ana gave him a beautiful photo album with pictures of the two of them and handwritten captions. (Eli ordered a fun gift for him that's on its way.)

Also, for those of you who'd heard the not-so-great news that my "cold" turned out to be Covid, thank you for your prayers. As of late this afternoon, my fever is gone, and my whole body feels soooo much better.

Ana made an angel food cake, and we'll all enjoy that in a little while!
