Psst...I'm about to write a new story. (Plus...book recommendations!)

Hi, and happy Wednesday!

I was so pleased to be invited recently to write a story for a multi-author anthology. I haven’t even started writing it yet, and it won’t be out until spring of next year...but I wanted to give my Insiders a little peek into the story percolating in my brain.

What if…

...Rumpelstiltskin was a woman…

...and she was using her conniving intelligence to help (and trick) a man who'd promised to turn straw into gold…

...and the whole story was told from her point of view?

Sounds fun, right? I can’t wait to see my story and others in this upcoming anthology. We’re still early in the planning stages; the anthology doesn’t even have a title yet. But I hope I’ve told you enough to intrigue you! The stories in the anthology will all be fairy-tale retellings, from the villains' points of view.

Best of all, it'll all be for charity if you choose to buy a copy...and I'll have some free ARCs for people to read too.

I’ve read a few fairy-tale retellings in the last several months and thoroughly enjoyed them all. (Here’s a link to my review of the one I read most recently, Kingdom of Thorns, a Sleeping Beauty retelling by Katherine Macdonald.) And if you love fairy-tale retellings, make sure you check out the freebie later on in this newsletter!

I recently checked my Goodreads, and I’ve read over 40 books this year! I know many of you are at least as passionate about reading as I am. I hope you find some gems in this week’s recommendations.
