An Update on Faerie Fallen and its Sequel

(Subtitle: I Have a New Pen Name!)

Some of you have read my romantic fantasy novel, Faerie Fallen ... and you may be waiting for the sequel!

I have an announcement that affects the future of this series.

Over the last couple of years, I've read more steamy romance, and I've realized ... I want to write it too.

So I have a new pen name.

My first book will be Faerie Fallen. I'm in the process of unpublishing the current version so I can republish it later under my new pen name ... in a steamier form. I've already started revisions and am having a blast with it. I also have an early draft of the second book, and I'm looking forward to revising it too!

For those who loved Faerie Fallen and don't like steam ... I am (honestly, genuinely) sorry. I was struggling to find the motivation to finish the series, and when I had the idea to make the romance more intense, I knew I needed to consider it.

For those who've read my fantasy novels and wished they were spicier? Well, you're in luck!

So, what kind of steam will my books have? I like reading steamy romance that has a lot of sweetness in it. I love a good, angsty slow burn. I'm a big fan of enthusiastic consent, and dark romance really isn't my thing. This'll be "jalapeño jelly steam" (both spicy and sweet).

Some of you know I'm a person of faith, and you may wonder how all this fits in. My faith is still so important to me ... and it's also changed a lot over the years. I've worked hard to let go of shame-based beliefs I've held about sex. Reading and writing steamy fiction is part of that for me. I recognize others may see it differently, and I absolutely respect a variety of opinions on this matter. And yes ... I still enjoy reading "clean" romance too!
