Here’s What I’m Doing This Week

Sunday, I drove almost ten hours to see my parents in Topeka, Kansas. I’m staying here until Saturday, and we’re really enjoying our visit.

When we get together, my mom and I love to play games. For the last few years, our favorite game to play together is Ticket to Ride. It’s a game where we use little train pieces to make routes between cities, and we get points for making specific routes.

It’s a lot of fun, and while we get good laughs out of it, we take it seriously too, tracking who wins the most games on a trip! (I’m currently ahead, but my mom just had what was possibly her best game ever, so she’s catching up to me.)

We also like playing other games (Yahtzee! and Boggle so far on this trip), but we always end up back at Ticket to Ride as our go-to game.

I’ve also taken plenty of time to read while I’m here. I know most of you love books, so here are some recommendations.
