Good morning!

Have you heard of NaNoWriMo? It stands for National Novel Writing Month. Traditionally, NaNoWriMo has challenged writers to draft 50,000 words of a novel in November. In recent years, they’ve allowed more flexible goals, which is good for me, since I’m deep in revisions for The Stone Eater!

Here are my 2020 NaNoWriMo goals:

• Revise/edit 117,000 words of The Stone Eater. That gets me all the way to the end of it, and all I’ll need to do is a read-through before sending it to beta readers!
• Write 8,000 words of a nonfiction book I’m working on. (More on that in a future email!

I’m trying to get all those revisions done in the first three weeks of the month so I can take off most of Thanksgiving week (the last full week of November) with my kids. I’ve had some late nights (and a sore neck from so much computer time), but I’m on track to meet that goal. (And I love this final book of the series!)
