Why I Spent Much of My Weekend In a Bar

I’ve been assistant-directing a play for our local community theatre, Way Off Broadway Community Players in Leander, TX. It opened last weekend and closes this coming weekend.

So why did I spend much of my weekend in a bar? Our theatre currently doesn’t have a permanent space that’s ready to perform in, so for this show, we held performances in a bar called Leanderthal Distilling! It was perfect, since the play itself is set in a bar too. The location made for a fun, immersive experience, and audiences are loving the show.

Even when I’m busy with theatre, I still do a ton of reading. It’s how I relax at night. Hopefully you’ve been finding time to read lately too. Check out this week’s book recommendations!
