Have you gotten into the current charcuterie-board craze?
Before I’d ever heard of a charcuterie board, I loved meals like this. Crackers, meat, cheese, nuts, and fruit? I could almost live off that stuff!
I’ve only made a couple of charcuterie boards, but I was proud of this one I made for my anniversary in January.
It was delicious!
Recently I saw this Tweet on Twitter and thought it was hilarious:
If you’re not in the US, you may not have ever seen Lunchables. They’re prepackaged combos of meat, cheese, and crackers, made to put in a kid’s lunch. They’re decidedly not gourmet. And you know what? I’m totally okay with spending money and time on a dressed-up Lunchable and calling it a fancy name like charcuterie board!
Now that I’ve made you drool over fine meats and cheeses, I’ve got some books to drool over too...and this week, they’re all free. Hope you find one you like.
