Update 12/28/24 on Jason Anderson
Dec 28, 2024 2:51 pm
Hi friends,
Jason has been having more pain, this time centered in his legs. There’s a good chance it’s due to the leptomeningeal disease affecting his spine. We need to get an MRI scheduled, but these things are tough when it’s the week of Christmas!
Once he gets the MRI, if it shows what we suspect, the plan is spinal radiation to reduce his pain. After that, we’ll reevaluate the chemo option depending how well his body responds to radiation.
Jason’s mind is clear, which I’m so grateful for. His fatigue and pain aren’t allowing him to do a whole lot right now, but my parents were here for Christmas, and we had a lot of good family moments together—many involving eating, which has thankfully put a stop to his weight loss! Jason introduced us all to the chicken and waffles at Waffle Love, and they were so good.
Mostly, he’s resting. I came down with a cold, so I’ll be doing a lot of resting today too.
I wish I had more news, and I wish it were better news. Thank you all so much for your support and prayers. We love our community of friends and family.
With love,
Beth and Jason
