First chemo treatment update

Chemo update:
Jason had his first chemo / immunotherapy treatment Monday. It went great, and we’re now besties with Mindy, the nurse at the infusion center.
He’s tolerated it remarkably well! All his symptoms have been mild. Some appetite / gut & nerve symptoms & some difficulty sleeping, but it’s all been very manageable. He hasn’t had to take much time off work since the infusion. As we’ve mentioned before, this chemo won’t make him lose his hair.
Some people have wondered about the schedule. He’ll get his infusions every 2 weeks. One of the chemo meds is in a little pressurized vessel that attaches to his port & is infused over the course of ~46 hours—so he had to get that disconnected 2 days after the main treatment. He’ll get chemo again the first week of July.
Thank you for all your prayers and good thoughts, the meals you’ve provided, and all the other kind gifts. We appreciate them so very much. We feel really loved and cared for!
