Hi, and happy Friday!
I’m Carol Beth Anderson, but you can call me Beth. I co-sponsored the YA book giveaway you entered recently. It’s great to meet you!
I love to read and write fantasy. My next series, Feathered Fae, is upper-YA/NA romantic fantasy centered around faeries and humans.
I’d love to give you a free short story that takes place in the world of my next series. If you’re like me, you can always use an adventurous, romantic escape from reality! Download your free copy of Faerie Flight here or by clicking the cover image below.
Here’s a sneak peek of the story.

“You can do all the looking you want. But don’t taste the food, don’t touch the thorns, and don’t you dare dance with anyone. Because we’re—”
“Because we’re Seelie. I know, Mother. You’ve given me these instructions more times than I can count.” Ailis managed not to roll her eyes. Barely.
“And it’s more important than ever.” Marta stepped closer. While her tall, willowy body and thick, red hair were common in the Seelie Court, her green eyes flashed with a unique brightness. There was no escaping that fiery gaze. “You’re eighteen now—an adult—and the Unseelie faeries at that revel know it. They’re manipulative monsters.” Marta ran her fingers along the glossy, pale-brown antlers extending from her daughter’s head. “Remember who you are, love.”
Not every faerie in the Unseelie Court is a monster. The words pressed against Ailis’s throat, but if she spoke them, Marta would wonder where she’d gotten that idea. Ailis would have to lie. And her mother always saw through her lies.
Marta couldn’t know that Ailis had one particular Unseelie in mind. A male who was no monster, despite the vertical pupils in his eyes, the scales lining the back of his body, and the membranous wings that allowed him to glide on air currents.
With a smile that exuded pure innocence, Ailis said, “I’ll be careful, Mother. Like I always am.”

But I know some of you just wanted to check out the giveaway, and you’d rather not get emails. If that’s the case, no problem. Just click the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of this email. No hard feelings!
I love connecting with people who love reading as much as I do. (I’m currently in the middle of Dance With the Fae Prince by Elise Kova. SO. GOOD.) I look forward to keeping in touch—and you’re always welcome to respond to my emails to say hello!
