A speed bump on Jason's cancer journey

Hello all,
A speed bump on this cancer journey...
A week ago, Jason was diagnosed with prostate cancer. This is a second type of cancer, not connected to his stomach cancer. It appears to be localized to the prostate (no spread), and it's "favorable intermediate" grade, which is good news. We found it because his prostate lit up on his PET scans, and a biopsy confirmed it's cancer.
We met with both his medical oncologist and a radiation oncologist today. Jason is planning to do a type of radiation called SBRT. (You may have heard of CyberKnife, a well-known provider of SBRT. Jason will be treated at Texas Oncology with the same technology.) Rather than the typical 28 to 45 doses of radiation, he'll only need 5 doses, given over the course of less than 2 weeks. We expect this to have very little affect on his treatment schedule for stomach cancer.
SBRT is highly effective and will likely cure the cancer, and there's a very good chance Jason will have no long-term side effects. He plans to keep working through his short course of treatment.
We don't yet have a date for when treatment will start, but it will likely be in April.
Dealing with another cancer diagnosis has been stressful, but we feel a sense of relief that there's now a treatment plan in place—and a relatively easy one at that. We're grateful he was diagnosed this early and grateful for his excellent medical team.
We appreciate your prayers in the coming weeks. Specifically, you can pray that his side effects are minimal and that nothing gets in the way of him moving forward with his stomach-cancer treatment.
We're looking forward to this being in the rearview mirror so Jason can go back to focusing on only one type of cancer treatment!
