 A True Dog Story From a Reader

Recently, when I shared a short story about a dog, Roberta (a subscriber) told me this true story, which she gave me permission to share with you.

We have a chocolate lab and he is a very important part of our family. When we first got him, my husband was having some medical issues, mostly high blood pressure and I believe in my heart those days he felt bad and stayed home with Thorin, especially as a puppy, that the dog saved his life. I really believe that the dog knew he needed his comfort and that it helped him until they could get his meds right to control his blood pressure. Thorin is now eight and I have been retired for 5 years, my husband for 7; Thorin is my walking buddy, we get up early, he has breakfast and then we walk 4 miles.
