{{contact.first_name}}, my grandma's miniature cabinet, plus book recommendations

When I was preparing to publish The Curio Cabinet: A Collection of Miniature Stories, I looked and looked for a good stock photo of a cabinet of miniatures to use for the cover. I contacted my mom, who’d had such a cabinet hanging on the wall of our hallway when I was growing up. I asked her to take a picture of it, and she told me she didn’t have it anymore.
I settled on a picture that wasn’t quite what I wanted and made it work by blurring it so the contents (which included boxes of pasta, not miniatures!) were unclear.
Recently, when I was visiting my grandparents in Kansas, my mom pointed to my grandma’s bedroom wall and said, “That’s the type of thing you wanted a picture of for your book!”
And that’s how I ended up with a new cover for The Curio Cabinet...featuring my grandma’s cabinet of miniatures. Here it is. (If you’re interested in purchasing a copy, click on the book cover. (I can’t guarantee that paperbacks will immediately have the new cover, as Amazon may have pre-printed some copies.)
