Jason is home!

Since shunt placement, we've seen a drastic improvement in symptoms of his LMD (leptomeningeal disease). While he's still dealing with some pain and he tires easily, he's walking unassisted, eating better, and dealing with far less fatigue. He also needs less pain medication than before.

The shunt should continue to improve his symptoms over the next week or two. He'll also follow up with the neurosurgeon to get adjustments to the shunt if needed, once we've had a chance to see it at its full effectiveness.

This week, we'll have various appointments, and I hope to know soon what the timeline is on starting whole-brain radiation.

We're looking forward to our vow renewal a week from tomorrow, and it's awesome to still have that to look forward to!

We're both tired and looking forward to sleeping in our own bed. We're very grateful to be home!
