A Wonderful, Meaningful Weekend

Last week, I shared with you that my author friend Dawn Hosmer passed away. My husband and I were able to fly to Ohio for her funeral, and it was a truly wonderful weekend.

The service was beautiful. I was able to spend time with her fantastic family, and that gave me so much peace, knowing they have each other. To add some cheerfulness to a hard time, I got to meet several authors I’ve only known online up to this point. Here’s a picture of me with two of them: Shawn Burgess (in the middle) and B.C. Online friends are true friends. This weekend proved that to me in a deeper way than ever before. I know Dawn would be happy to see some of her author friends coming together to celebrate her life and forge deeper relationships with each other.

Thank you to all of you who reached out to me with your condolences! I miss Dawn, but I’m doing well.
