The Loss of a Close Friend

I lost a close friend yesterday. Some of you may remember that some time ago, I posted about my author friend, Dawn Hosmer, who was in treatment for stage IV breast cancer. Eight months after her diagnosis, she passed away. I’m heartbroken and will fly out Friday with my husband for her funeral.

Dawn has a husband, three grown kids, and a teenager. This has of course been an incredibly difficult time. If you’d like to support them, I have three suggestions:

1. Check Out Her Books

Dawn was a seriously talented author of psychological thrillers. If you purchase her books, it’ll bless her family. I suggest starting with Bits and Pieces. It’s amazing. Check out all of Dawn’s books here.

1. Donate to her GoFundMe. We’ve had this going for months, and it’s allowed her family to pay medical bills and to purchase the many things they needed for her treatment (such as a ramp for entering the house). Now, they’re paying for a funeral too. Your donation to the GoFundMe will be so appreciated.
2. Send the family a meal-delivery gift card. Her husband told me this would be helpful. Purchase a gift card to DoorDash, GrubHub, or Uber Eats here.

And above all, they’d love your prayers. Thank you for supporting them however you can.
