Jason Anderson update 1/26/25: Week 1 on hospice

Week 1 on Hospice:

Yesterday marked one week on hospice for Jason. Honestly, it was a hard week. Advanced cancer is no joke when it comes to pain, and Jason was struggling a lot.

Thankfully, hospice care providers specialize in pain relief, and they make it their top priority with every patient. After changing his pain meds three times in one week, we seem to have landed on something that's working quite well. Today, Jason has had less pain than he's experienced in quite some time.

He's fatigued, which is to be expected. However, with the pain under better control, his energy seems to have improved too.

Jason has enjoyed having visitors. If you're interested in coming, please reach out to Beth to arrange it. Shorter visits are generally better, as he only has so much energy to spend every day.

We're so grateful to all who've donated to help fund our kids' college education, to Carollo for putting the fundraiser together, and to those providing food and other types of help.

P.S. Some reminders:

GOFUNDME: Jason’s amazing workplace, Carollo Engineers, launched a GoFundMe for our kids’ education and/or living expenses as they enter adulthood. All donations will be placed in a special account for the kids, and we’re SO grateful! https://gofund.me/f0d35137
