Update on Jason, 11/28/24

Happy Thanksgiving!

We're thankful that the lumbar puncture yesterday relieved some of the pressure in Jason's brain, thereby helping with the pain and fatigue that have been his primary symptoms of leptomeningeal disease (LMD). He's still in the hospital, and he's still tired, but he's needing a lot less sleep and pain medication. He's worlds better than he was a couple of days ago.

The lumbar puncture is a temporary solution, but we hope when he gets his shunt, it'll will provide longer-lasting symptom relief. We haven't seen the neurosurgeon yet and don't know if he'll be able to get that operation done before leaving the hospital or not. We expect to see that doctor by tomorrow.

He and I are so thankful for each other, especially in the middle of all of this.

Here are some happy pictures from our trip to Vegas last week.

We got to see a Cirque du Soleil show, which was really fun!

If you tell me it's too early for Christmas pictures, I'll put my hands over my ears and say, "FA LA LA LA LA!"

We got to go to the F1 race! This was the night before I woke up and he told me, "We need to go home now." So I'm really glad he felt pretty good for the race; going to it was a dream come true for him.
