{{contact.first_name}}, SUPER-FAN EMAIL: My highlights notes from The Frost Eater

,
Well, my super fans, you signed up for this newsletter because you’re awesome...and then I literally sent out one email (until today).
ONE.
Turns out starting a whole new newsletter was one too many tasks for my already busy brain. But it’s time for Super-Fan Email #2! These may not come out often, but I do hope to occasionally connect with you in this way.
Today, I got an email from Goodreads telling me that Leigh Bardugo had posted some highlights notes from Shadow and Bone. I clicked, and it was so cool to see the author’s perspective on her own book.
So I decided to do the same with The Frost Eater. If you’ve ever wondered what I really think of Ovrun, where Osmius’s name comes from, and what earlier versions of the story looked like, I think you’ll enjoy browsing my notes. They’re on Goodreads.
If you do check them out, I’d love to hear what you think, either as an email or—even better—as a comment on Goodreads. Goodreads lets us have an actual discussion (by you commenting on my notes), and that sounds pretty fun. Basically...it takes some time to take these notes, and I’d like to know if they’re of value to you. If so, I may do them for other books too.
Also, an update on my next series: I’m almost done with the in-depth worldbuilding I like to do before I start. I plan to finish that today and then to start outlining. I plan to start actually writing next week...a little later than anticipated, but I know I’m building a good foundation now with all the worldbuilding.
By the stone,
Beth
P.S. I draft my emails using Google Docs. If you’d ever like to look at all the past Super-Fan emails, click this link.
