Hi !
Fall is here and so is Toonmade Music Lessons!
As you probably know by now, Lisa is taking a break, at least for this semester. Since I have had some major changes in my work and availability, I am very excited to have the time and focus to teach again!
Here’s what lessons with me will look like and include:
- One on one lessons in one of the following: Voice, Guitar, Bass, beginner drums, Recording
- Online Coaching Site and App that will house all the material for lessons, like exercises, music and lyrics, instructional videos and more!
- Scheduled 30min lessons, with a 15minute buffer in between to allow for post lesson admin and content curating for the Site/App
- This helps with the transition too…it’s always nice to have a lil extra time to greet families and chat about progress while not causing the next lesson to start late…and if you know me, you know that I Iike to go overtime 😁
- Most lessons will be taking place at Oliver Alliance Church, entry at the bottom door by the side yard/basketball hoop (see pic below). If you end up booking a lesson outside of my typical availability, I’ll let you know the location before our first lesson.
- School of Rock - see the PS section below the main letter
To register, do so on our Toonmade site (use that link as the lessons aren’t in the main menu). If you want to pay by credit card online, you can do so right on Toonmade, otherwise there is an option to register and mark your payment as etransfer/cash/cheque.
There are two options, one to pay for the whole semester up front, and the other to pay in 4 equal payments. Full semester payment will get you a bit of a discount, but both are considered a commitment to the 11 lesson semester. Spaces are limited, so a commitment to the semester is required. If you are interested in a shorter commitment, say one lesson at a time, or a block of 4, there is a higher fee to book in for those, and consistent times (meaning, same time slot every week) are not available. It's doable, but will likely have to be at different times each week. Contact me for info on that.
Having said that, I know we are already into September. If you are not able to commit to the full 11 lessons, we can definitely bump one or two credits to the winter semester, just let me know in a note when you register, or you can contact me by email - [email protected], by TEXT (778)890-2961, or CALL toll free (855)301-9111 .
And finally, for families with more than one student, please use the code FAM5 in the checkout so you can get a discount for multiple family members. It amounts to one free lesson and a discount on the recital fee.

4 Equal payments
THANKS and BEST REGARDS!!
Stephen, you're friendly neighbourhood music teacher
PS:
I’ve had requests for School of Rock again, but last time showed me that most (maybe all) kids need the private instruction and consistent practice regimen to be able to play well with the group. I am open to gathering interested students for some group sessions where we play songs together. Once we get started with teaching I will survey you and the kids to see what the level of interest is. These sessions will have a fee, but a lesser one than the private lessons. It may be that the kids want to form their own “bands” and work on music in their own groups, we'll see. Any feedback or thoughts on this are welcome!
- For those that want the School of Rock, assuming it will become part of the semester, we can take some of your lesson credits and split them up into multiple group sessions.
- If your child is only interested in School of Rock, please head here and let me know: SCHOOL OF ROCK ONLY
