Build Your Foundation—Week 1 Reflections & Week 2 Preview [Bizz Accelerator]
Jun 13, 2025 11:29 pm
Hi ,
I wanted to check in as we move from our first week together into the next phase of this accelerator. If you haven’t yet had a chance to dive into the exercises from our first workshop, now is the perfect moment. These aren’t just busywork—they’re the building blocks for a business (and a life) that actually fit you.
Here’s what we’d love you to revisit:
- Map your ideal week. How many hours do you want to work? Which families light you up? What’s non-negotiable for your life outside the clinic?
- Get honest about your take-home. What would feel good and sustainable—not just for your business, but for you?
- Track your time. Notice where your energy goes, and which tasks you want to do more (or less) of.
- Clarify your core concept. Vision, mission, values, business name—let these guide every decision from here.
- Do your SWOT. What are your unique strengths? Where are the gaps in your community? What’s getting in your way?
Why does this matter?
Because, as we talked about, everything else—marketing, growth, even your peace of mind—gets easier when your foundation is clear. You’ll be able to say “no” to distractions, “yes” to opportunities that fit, and finally feel like your business is working for you (not the other way around).
Key takeaways from Week 1:
- Start with your vision, not with tactics.
- Build your business backwards from the life you want.
- Track your time so you can reclaim it.
- Embrace imperfect action—clarity comes from doing.
- Authenticity and self-awareness are your true edge.
- Your business plan is a living, breathing document—let it evolve with you.
Looking ahead to Week 2:
Before our next live session, take a few minutes to watch the pre-session video. We’ll be unpacking marketing—not just as “getting clients,” but as building a brand, deepening relationships, and creating a steady, sustainable flow of the right families and staff.
You’ll learn:
- Why consistent, authentic marketing matters more than a big budget
- How to track what’s working (and let go of what isn’t)
- Simple ways to re-engage past clients and keep your schedule steady
- How to use your story and strengths to stand out—without hype or overwhelm
What to bring next week:
- Your completed (or in-progress) exercises from Week 1
- Your top three marketing approaches you want to try
- Any questions, insights, or “aha” moments from the pre-session video
If you’re feeling behind, you’re not alone. This is a process, not a race. Every bit of reflection you do now will pay off in clarity, confidence, and a business that truly fits you.
We can’t wait to see what you uncover.
With so much enthusiasm for the work you do,
Mindy and Kelsey
