Hey ,

Firstly a huge Whooo hoo! To Stacie Ahern who won the BIG Continued Education Prize 🥳 Stacie, I cant wait to hear what you spend it on!!

Thank you to everyone who shared nuggets, reflections and curious questions as part of the OPC challenge! I know I'm not just speaking for myself when I say that your insights pushed me to engage even more with the OPC content and made it so much easier to take it into the clinic and be curious about how it changed things for my families.

You are amazing!!

We are wrapping up OPC with Fi Graham this week before we gear up for Interoception with Kelly Mahler as our next spotlight guest.

Here's your game plan...

Big things happening this week that you don't want to miss!

1 - The OPC wrap up Q&A is ready for you to watch/listen to.

If you're short of time - I've listed the questions and summarized the answers for you in your dashboard. You can squiz over them and catch up.

If you want to go deeper and catch up on the nuanced conversations and in-depth discussions - the video replay is waiting for you.

👇

Read, watch, listen, discuss

This should be available as a podcast in the next week. If you're not signed up for the Wired Collective private podcasts, just send me an email and I can get you sorted.

AND

2 - Wired Weeklies are back this week. Do you have a case you want to get some feedback on? An article you'd love to discuss? A topic you want to have a pow-wow about? This is where it happens. Drop in for connection and inspiration. Wired Weeklies are spontaneous and low key.

They are not recorded because what happens in a Wired Weekly, stays in a Wired Weekly - but you can be sure it will leave you feeling connected, energised and inspired.

If you have something specific you want to make sure we cover, scroll down the page to booking sheet. Grab your spot and we will dedicate that time for you as a member share, otherwise, just pop in.

There are two session this week - join one, join both.

Times and Links Here!

AND

3 - You're the first to know!

I am soooooo frigen excited (and nervous) to have the chance to be interviewing Margaret Mayston!! If you don't know, Margaret was head of the Bobath Centre in London for years and is a formidable force in both academic and clinical work. Her recent paper on the Bobath Clinical Reasoning Framework has garnered some interesting discussions and you can hear her talking about it HERE.

If you have questions about NDT/Bobath, then let me know and I'll include them in our interview!

And of course - send me questions for Kelly Mahler too!! One of the big benefits of being in this Wired Collective is you get to go deeper with the experts than we go in the WiredOn Development interviews. Take a listen to Kelly's podcast interview and reply back to this email with your curious questions for our Spotlight on Intereoception!

Listen Here!

(There are no Wired Weeklies during progress pod week)

AND Finally,

4 - Our Amazing Members!

Ever since we had Sarah Clayton as our spotlight guest in The Wired Collective, there's been a core of members who have become absolutely passionate about 24 Hour Postural Care. One of those members is our very own Jane Hamer and Jane is redoing a presentation that she presented with a colleague at the 2023 Oceania Seating Symposium in Melbourne that was focused on

  • Reframing messaging around 24hr postural care appropriate to the priorities of the person and their family/carers
  • Describing stages of sleep and strategies to improve sleep onset and maintenance.
  • Identifying 3 indicators for supported lying positions at night for people with complex needs.
  • Utilising at least 3 outcome measures to quantify change through night-time positioning interventions.

Jane is inviting Wired Collective members to listen in!!

Here are the details:

Night-time is Complex - juggling health, sleep and postural care
