Hey ,

I've been re-listening to Bronwen's Spotlights and the Wise Table on double speed in preparation for our upcoming Wrap-up Q&A and all I can say is

Oh man! It's good stuff!!!

It's funny how you pick these up differently when you listen to them a second or third time. By the time you come back to it, you're at a different level of understanding and so the information lands differently - or you hear something you missed before because you were too busy thinking about something else you just heard.

Case in point - we had a grand old discussion with Beth about Nicola McDowell, and someone even mentioned her 'war on cluttered classrooms' research and I didn't hear it at all! I hadn't yet 'discovered' Nicola on my own so her name literally went in one ear and out the other - so funny and yet so real.

Which is why I am hear to tell you - if you think you can't turn up tomorrow because you haven't yet had a chance to go through all the videos and you're worried you might ask a question that's already been answered, or not be up-to-date on the information that has been shared, then you would be wrong!!

If the questions been asked, I'd love to hear the answer again, expand on it, examine it from different angles, think of it in relation to different kids, different approaches, or just simply remember it. That's what we do here in The Wired Collective. We learn thorough variable repetition thats interesting and stimulating (otherwise known as conversation). You might recall that that's a pretty good way to learn 😉

We've already got some juicy questions lined up - but bring your own. We're going to get through as many as we can. If you can't make it for any reason, feel free to just reply back to this email and I'll add your question to the list.

Here's a few that have already come in to get you thinking:

  • Let's talk more about the different levels/ranges of CVI - what they are, how to use them and how NOT to use them
  • Ideas for facilitating transitions for kids with CVI
  • The impact of CVI on traditional milestone acquisition like crawling
  • How / when to help kids transition from PT to O&M

It's going to be a great Big Meetup!

With oodles of enthusiasm,

Mindy
