Here's why I'm jumping onto Zoom in a few hours. This weekend we hosted Billi Cusick for a 3 day lab on the assessment and treatment of developmental foot deformities in New Zealand.

Do you want to know what my biggest take-a-way was?

It wasn't my first time doing this course, so although the information is just so fundamentally important to any one working with anyone who has a body with feet, my a-ha moments weren't that I'd completely missed the boat in understanding what, how and why I was measuring ROM for in kids (these were golden a-ha moments from the first time a did the course).

My take-a-way was that even though I was doing this course for the second time...

Even though I'd done several of Billi's other courses...

Even though I was feeling so much more competent in being able to piece together the complex puzzle of feet and gait...

When it came down to actually applying concepts in real time, with real kids (and even other colleagues on the course), I still watched on in awe and wonder as Billi pulled it all together into what in retrospect was obvious and simple.

But in the moment deciding what too do was too big, with too many choices and too many competing factors to really feel confident - and it felt overwhelming to think about fiddling around on my own back in clinic trying to get it right.

And so my biggest take-a-way was...
