A short practice to soothe your anxious heart

Hey ,
When you care deeply, your heart speaks loudly.
And sometimes, when closeness feels uncertain or connection is delayed, it can feel like the floor is falling out beneath you.
That’s not a flaw.
It’s your nervous system trying to keep you safe.
Anxious attachment forms when love was unpredictable—when attention came with conditions or inconsistency. So now, your body reacts fast. You may overthink, overreach, or feel consumed with worry that someone is pulling away.
But here’s something powerful:
You can start teaching your nervous system that you’re safe now—and that secure connection begins within.
🌿 The Grounding Glance Practice
- Look around the room and name 5 things you see.
- Place your hand on your heart. Breathe in slowly for 4 counts, out for 6.
- Say quietly:
- “I don’t have to chase love. I am safe in this moment.”
- Repeat this anytime you feel the urge to text, check, or over-explain.
Small anchors like this retrain your body to pause instead of panic.
Over time, these micro-moments become the foundation of a more secure life.
Bonus prompt:
Write down: “What would it feel like to trust that love doesn’t disappear?”
You deserve to feel held—not just by others, but by your own presence.
More support is on the way.
You’re already doing the work.
With warmth,
