Even when you're secure, your nervous system still can benefit from this

Hey ,
Having a secure attachment style doesn’t mean you never feel anxious, avoidant, or overwhelmed.
It means you’ve built a foundation of trust—within yourself and in relationships—that allows you to return to balance more easily when stress hits.
Still, the nervous system benefits from regular reminders of safety.
Here’s a practice to help you stay rooted in that secure center, especially when life gets hectic or emotionally charged:
🌿 The Return to Center Practice
- Sit somewhere comfortable. Soften your gaze or close your eyes.
- Inhale through your nose for 4 counts, exhale through your mouth for 6.
- Place a hand on your chest and say:
- “I trust myself. I trust life. I trust my relationships to grow with me.”
- Breathe in those words. Let them land.
Even secure people need restoration.
Even secure people wobble.
What matters is how we return—not whether we never leave.
Bonus reflection:
What helps you return to your secure center when something throws you off?
Write it down. Keep it close.
More tools, insights, and invitations are coming your way.
We’re so glad to be on this journey with you.
With gratitude and steadiness,
Dolphin, Phillipe & Francesca - The Journey To Secure Team
