It was very difficult at first, but by October of that year, I felt strong enough to share my story publicly. Then something unexpected happened. That single act of visibility led to a paid speaking opportunity.

As I continued showing up — educating, sharing, and serving — my income from public education and advocacy grew year after year, eventually reaching $5,500 in 2025 from just 5 hours of work. Money that I used to pay off my credit card!
