Hi ,
Thank you to everyone who responded to my questions last month. I'll keep your preferences in mind as I move forward with Once upon a Forbidden Door.
In all honesty, this last month has been a bit of a struggle to get any work in, so progress has been minimal. My fiancé lost his job for a while and, apparently, I'm unable to focus on anything creative when someone else is actively in my space, even if they're trying to not be noticeable. Fortunately, he's started a new job now, so at least that shouldn't be an issue moving forward.
The other struggle I've had lately is that I've had low energy. I recently found out I'm pregnant, which explains that issue. As much as I'm glad for another child, I think my daughter is more excited than anyone else. She's been policing everything I do, constantly asking if it's safe for the baby and trying to keep me from doing anything she thinks might be a risk, including chores.
I'm still hoping that my goal to publish at least Once upon a Forbidden Door and Prince of Shadows this year will still be possible, but I'll need to pace myself from one day to the next and see how much I'm actually capable of, given the circumstances.

Curse of Infiniti by Rachel Hetrick
Can she collect enough fragments of her past before the nightmarish figure from her dreams catches up with her?
If you enjoy escaping into enchanting worlds full of adventure, mystery, magic, and with a hint of romance, then pick up this story today and find yourself lost in the magical land of Phildeterre. (This is a clean novel appropriate for all ages).
As she wakes up in a bedroom she doesn’t recognize, Ellayne becomes increasingly aware of one thing: she has no memories—no identity—no name. Dark figures not only haunt her nightmares, but also stalk her in reality. Ellayne finds herself on the run, chased by a hooded archer with deadly aim.
When the source of her memory loss is uncovered, Ellayne and the companions she’s made along the way must find a way to reverse the damage done to her by magic before she loses her memories again.
The Secrets of Blackthorn Hall by T. S. Everly
This is an early-access edition of The Witch of Blackthorn Hall, a gothic romantasy perfect for fans of forbidden magic, haunted mansions, and slow-burn romance. If you enjoy the story, I’d love it if you left a review or shared it with fellow romantasy readers.
She is bound to the Veil. He doesn’t believe in magic. Until the Hall chooses him.
When scholar Gabriel Harrow arrives at crumbling Blackthorn Hall to catalogue its dusty secrets, he doesn’t expect the house to open its doors for him—literally. Nor does he expect to meet Eleanor, the reclusive and sharp-tongued witch who claims the Hall is alive… and watching.
Eleanor has guarded the Veil her entire life—a boundary that keeps unspeakable things from slipping into their world. But something has shifted. The old protections are faltering. And the stranger the Hall let in? He may not be so ordinary after all.
As the Veil thins and old enemies rise, Gabriel and Eleanor must unravel centuries of magic, betrayal, and buried bloodlines. But the deeper they dig, the more entwined their fates become—and the more dangerous their bond grows.
A lush romantasy of gothic mansions, forbidden magic, and slow-burn love. Perfect for fans of Deborah Harkness, Scarlett St. Clair, and K.J. Sutton.
