Hi ,
The winners of last month's giveaway are Lalita and Marilyn. If this is you, I've reached out in a separate email requesting your mailing address to send your paperback.
Princess of Hope is coming along nicely. I've hope to have a tentative release date by next month.
Sadly, the sound booth at my library isn't an option yet. I'm hoping it will be fixed soon so I can start working on audiobooks.
The Lost Assassin will be leaving KU on July 5th, so if you're a KU reader and haven't had a chance to read it yet, make sure to download it before tomorrow.
For this month's giveaway of a $5 Amazon gift card, I want to know: what are your favorite tropes and why?

Echoes of a Seer by Angela K. French
Abby is an ordinary seventeen-year-old living with her family in Northern California, or so she thinks.
The night of her graduation, everything changes. After a strange accident, Abby wakes up to find she has been transported to another planet named Ozam with beautiful lands and more advanced cities than Earth.
This new world would change everything she had ever believed was true, yet it is a place she somehow knew from the depths of her childhood dreams.
However, just as she is settling into this new way of life, everything starts to shift. She soon learns that she has been a part of this world all along and holds the ability of seeing future events and remotely viewing past and present events as they occurred, ranging powerfully long distances. She is becoming aware of the importance of her gifts and is now being hunted by rival leaders in order to use her visions for their own gains and to prevent any rulers of Ozam from having any future insight from her.
Abby is assigned under the protection of Kaden Zoraan until they can stop her hunters, and though their relationship is strictly forbidden, they are inexplicably drawn to each other.
Can Kaden keep her safe despite his growing feelings for her, or will she fall prey to those who find her?
Echoes of a Seer is book 1 in the Starbinds Series. For the best reading experience, it is recommended to read the books in order.
The Before Series by Michelle Deerwester-Dalrymple
Romantasy Villain Fairy Tale retellings like no other!
We all know the happily ever after. But what happened to the villain before the fairy tale ending?
Three books in one:
Before the Glass Slipper: A Cinderella retelling. When Corrine meets Luc, it is love at first sight. She finally has her fantasy happily ever second chance after that she deserves. She tries to be a good mother to his daughter, Ella. Luc had given Corinne this amazing new life -- caring dearly for his daughter was the very least she could do for him.
But she was young, and some people, even if they are children, have hard hearts. Ella wanted her father all to herself. Corinne tried to bet the best mother to all the girls so she and Luc could have the most wonderful, romantic life together. To raise their family together. To grow old together . . . But things don’t always go according to plan.
Before the Magic Mirror: A Snow White retelling. All Adalee wanted was to marry her prince. He was her soul mate and first love, until he was ripped from her arms, forced to wed another, and had a child with her. While Adalee was alone. Alone!
Adalee threw herself into hobbies – hobbies that she hid from the world. Witchcraft. But only white magic. Her grandmother’s magic.
She has sworn off love, yet when a new beau entered her life, he managed to sweep her off my feet. Everyone was pleased with the match, but it wasn’t enough for Adalee. She had to give her prince one more chance. One more. A second chance for true love? Unrequited love? Who wouldn’t? And this time, she would turn to any magic, including black magic, to get him back. And if it turned her heart to ice? So be it. She'd cast any spell, chant any curse, concoct any potion. Anything to become his wife and mother to his fair, black-haired child and rule the kingdom. If it all turned out, they would have their own happily ever after. If.
Before the Cursed Beast: A Beauty and the Beast friends to lovers retelling. Sometimes our happily ever after isn’t what we expect. Or what our heart desires. . . Salome has lived with her magician guardian my whole life. Yet when her magical skills begin to emerge and appear more powerful than his own, his jealousy knows no bounds. He seeks to hide Salome away and banished her to the kitchens until he has a need for her. In exchange for the opportunity to study under him once more, he makes her an offer – that she put a vague curse on a spoiled boy-king in his castle. If Salome does this, then she can once again resume her place by his side.
Only, the curse isn’t what Salome thought it would be. It is darker, more dire, and she hates that she is the cause of this handsome king’s misery. Instead of working joyfully beside her guardian, Salome vows to learn all she can, so that one day she might remove the king’s curse. She does this out of guilt, but also because she has fallen madly in love with this once-spoiled king. A forbidden love. His kinder nature belies his beastly form. With his wolfish grin and gentle paws, he has stolen her heart. Salome will do anything to set him free from this curse. Anything. She just needs to keep this promise a secret from her guardian . . .
Or does she?
Something different by Michelle Deerwester-Dalrymple. Meet the villains in your favorite fairy tales! A romantasy fairy tale retelling series full of dark drama, some love, a little magic, a strong sense of history, and powerful characters that we fall in love with, only to hate later on. Not steamy or necessarily with HEA endings, this series paints these well-known fairy tale characters in a new light!
