Hi ,

Working on the developmental edits for Once upon a Betrothal is taking a bit longer than I wanted, but it’s getting close. I think I should be done with developmental edits later this week. Assuming that I don’t get further delayed, I’ll be able to set the publishing date for mid May. If you want an ARC but aren't on my team, sign up here to join.

If you haven’t already entered this month's giveaway of a $5 Amazon gift card, hit reply and let me know why you're here.

Sales, Freebies, and/or New Releases

I don’t have anything for this section that’s current, but Once upon a Betrothal will be going up for a reduced preorder price as soon as I finish developmental editing.

imageBefore the Queen of Hearts by Michelle Deerwester-Dalrymple

Betrayal never smelled so sweet . . .

Or hurt a queen so deeply.

Margot Hearth is the only daughter of the King of Mournstead Sands, and the sole heir. After a devastating loss and her time comes to take the throne, she brings her long-time best friend, Terese, with her as her closest adviser to reign over this lost wonderland. Terese -- her confidant, her best friend, her sister that Margot never had. Someone has to support the queen of broken hearts.

Yet not every one is pleased with Margot's rise to power, and the lords and subject who defy her clamor for an alliance with the prince across the water to unite their two kingdoms. The strife leads to violence and that breath of a bloody coup, bringing Margot and her reign to the brink.

Her royal guard, however, always has her under their protection, taking slings and wounds at her defense. When one of her guards is seriously wounded in a battle that never should have been, a solution to the rising conflict appears. Margot knows exactly who should sit on the throne next to her as king consort -- someone she can trust and rely on above all others.

Queens in games have all the power, after all.

Finally she has hope that the madness gripping her kingdom will subside once this betrothal is made.

But madness is a tricky thing. Nothing is as it seems.

And not everyone is a loyal as Margot, the Queen of Hearts, would believe.

In a time that predates Alice and the White Rabbit, before the Mad Hatter and the Cheshire Cat -- Before the Queen of Hearts is a dark, gothic fairy tale villain retelling of the timeless tale of Alice in Wonderland, low steam romantasy book with ominous tones, betrayal, and dark secrets. This historical, friends to lovers villain retelling will leave readers pining for more! A fairytale retelling romantasy series like no other . . .

imageThe Witchfinder’s Serpent by Rande Goodman

“The Witchfinder's Serpent reimagines the early American witch trials as the backdrop to a very modern YA adventure - but with a clever twist that leaves the reader on the edge of their seat until the very last page.” — Amber Benson, author and actor, Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Something Wicked This Way Comes . . .

When fifteen-year-old Nate Watson moves to Windsor to live with his mysterious Aunt Celia, the last things on his mind are witches and magick and ancient vendettas. While Nate focuses on building a new life for himself and his younger brother, making new friends and adjusting to a new high school, he can’t escape the feeling that something isn’t as it seems.

Nate’s search for answers leads him to a forbidden, locked door in Celia’s mansion. Inside, he finds a witch’s workshop full of mystical artifacts, some dating back to the time of the earliest Puritan settlers. Nate soon learns that forty-five years before the Salem Witch Trials, Windsor resident Alse Young was hanged as America’s first witch.

Could magick be real? Nate remains skeptical until he picks up the witchfinder’s serpent—a powerful, demonic bracelet that wraps itself around his arm and permanently imbeds itself into his flesh.

Nate must confront the truth about Aunt Celia’s unlikely ancestry—as well as his own. And with her help, he must find a way to remove the bracelet before the serpent’s previous owner returns—an ancient and powerful enemy who will stop at nothing to get it back . . .
