Hi ,

As my community grows, I’ve been sprucing things up, starting with this newsletter! I’d love to know what you think of the new look. Hit reply and share your thoughts—I’m all ears!

Ever wished you could listen to your documents instead of reading them? Text-to-speech is a game-changer for multitasking, proofreading, or just giving your eyes a break. I use it in Google Docs and Microsoft Word, and it’s easier than you think!

Would you like to see how to use this in Outlook or Gmail to read your emails aloud? Let me know!

imageFor the Aspiring Authors: Plottr Software Tutorial

I’ve written books for years, mostly training manuals and procedure docs. But when I dipped my toes back into fiction, I needed a way to organise my plot, track characters, and remember all those fictional places. Enter Plottr, the tool that keeps my storytelling on track (and saves me from plot holes!).

Upcoming Live Webinars: Your Input Needed!

I’m finalising new webinars for next week, and I want to hear from you! What topics would help you the most? Here’s what’s on the table so far:

  • Excel Pivot Tables: A blast from my past! A student from 8 years ago told me they still use and love them. Want a refresher (or an intro if you’ve never tried them)?
  • How to find free and low-cost software
  • What is this AI thing?
  • Your Suggestions: Got a tech topic you’re curious about? Reply and let me know—I’m taking requests!

Quick Pro Tip: Excel Tables in 10 Seconds

Want to look like an Excel pro, even if you don’t feel like one? Turn your boring list into a powerful table with just two clicks:

image

  1. Click anywhere in your data (no blank rows or columns!).
  2. Press Ctrl + T, check “My table has headers,” and hit OK.

Voilà! Your list is now a table with sorting, filtering, and instant totals. No totals at the bottom? No problem—the table can add or hide them for you.

Formatting tables is easy, and your totals will expand when you add more data!

Thanks for reading!
