Helping you work smarter, one click at a time

Hi ,

January is one of those months that seem like it lasts forever, but it can be a good time to think about what we want to accomplish over the next few months.

A vision board represents your goals and can remind you why you are working towards the goal. They can be very short-term, like over 12 weeks, a year, or longer, like 5 or 10 years.

They are personal to you and might not mean anything to anyone else, that is ok.

I have a video step-by-step tutorial where you’ll create a Canva file that reminds you of your goals, which accomplishes two important things:

  • Keep motivation, reminds you of why you need to keep on track to reach your goals
  • Focus, most people who make resolutions fail (90% and more) which means we need motivation and a reminder of why we want to reach the goals

You’ll learn how to:

  • Find Vision Board Templates in Canva
  • Find pictures for your board
  • Create unique shapes with the pictures

🛠️ Quick Pro Tip

Microsoft Word: Comments vs Track Changes

image

Both can be found in Microsoft Word within the Review tab.

💬 Use Comments when you’re giving feedback, asking questions, or suggesting ideas. You can add comments to a document or send it to others and ask for their feedback. They do not change the document; add notes that can be replied to; and, with Microsoft 365, people can be tagged and notified.

✍️ Use Track Changes when you’re actively editing text and want others to see exactly what changed. Documents can be sent to others, and every change that they make, each change can be viewed by who made them, and can be approved or rejected.

Knowing when to use each avoids confusion — especially in shared documents.

Create Your Ultimate Daily Checklist in Excel

If you like the idea of being organised but don’t want another app to manage, this Excel-based checklist might be exactly what you need.

In this video, I show you how to build a simple, reusable daily checklist using tick boxes, clean formatting, and a layout that resets easily. It’s ideal for:

  • Daily work tasks
  • Personal routines or habits
  • Recurring checklists you use again and again

You’ll see how Excel can:

  • automatically track what’s been completed
  • keep everything in one place (no extra tools required)
  • adapt easily as your routines change

It’s a practical setup you can build once and use every day — whether at work or at home.
