The book is my memoir about leading OraSure Technologies Inc. during the pandemic to do the extraordinary. The “test” is the existential challenge that we’ve all faced since 2020, as well as OraSure’s acclaimed InteliSwab® Rapid COVID-19 Test—the “easiest to use” test of its kind and the “#1 Standout Product” to hit drugstore shelves in 2021. My book will be published in spring 2023 by New Degree Press.
New Degree Press believes in community-building as part of the publication process. I selected them to gestate my book because their approach is aligned with my life’s work to “belong, lead, and elevate communities near and far.”
A key step in the gestation is to sell tickets to my book launch events—both virtual and in-person—in the spring of 2023, while I finalize my manuscript for publication. Tickets are bundled with signed books and other goodies:
- All tickets include either a physical copy (softcover paperback) or digital copy (e-book) when I publish and a handwritten “thank you” note.
- Your name will appear in the Acknowledgments section of my book (“with Special Thanks to”).
- You will be invited to join my Author Community and get behind-the-scenes sneak peeks into the publishing process.
- You will receive early access to the Introduction and some excerpts from my book, with the opportunity to review it and give me early feedback.
- You will have the opportunity to be involved in finalizing my cover.

My goal in the next 30 days is to sell 200 books with tickets! If I get there, I’ll publish a hardcover and audiobook to go along with the softcover book and e-book.
