This sign has been hanging in our barn since we were the host family for Benefit in the Barn several years ago (Click here for 2024 details if interested). The pictures that were under the sign are long gone, but Oh What A Day it will be on August 10th from 10 - 3!

Books in the Barn has a terrific lineup this year! The barn is full and vendors will also be outside under the porch. Over 50 vendors who are talented in more than one area. Here is the breakdown of what will be offered at the booths and a few specialty items.

  • 25 - Arts & Crafts vendors
  • 24 - Local Authors (Christian and/or family-friendly)
  • 6 - Direct Sales vendors
  • 1 - Toy tractor collection sale
  • Kid's Corner will be selling homemade zucchini bread and cookies
  • Light breakfast and lunch offered by Old Stone Presbyterian Church. Click here to see a menu.
  • Scioto Paint Parties will teach you how to paint the canvas "Shine" at 12:30. Please preregister - Click here.
  • Don't miss Sharla Patterson Photography outside under the porch. She is offering a mini 10-minute photo shoot for $25 and you will get the digital photos.

I would love to share about each vendor, but you can look for yourself on the Facebook event page. Click here to view. For a complete vendor list, Click here. Bring your friends, neighbors, and church family to this great event! I will see you next Saturday at...

Books in the Barn

Saturday, August 10th from 10 AM - 3 PM

5530 Radnor Rd, Radnor

On the home front...

Simply prepping for Books in the Barn and spending time renewing my soul. A huge thank you to Matt and Logan for all their hard work on cleaning the barn. The farm uses the barn 51 weeks out of the year, then we do our annual clean up and I get to have fun for the weekend.

Mini Devotion...

Jim and I are very thankful for the rain God sent us the last couple of days, and as I write this email, He just sent another! It was much needed for all of the crops in this area. In drought situations, whether it is a drought for the crops or a drought in my heart, I always cling to Habakkuk 3:17-18 to strengthen my faith. It is such a great reminder that God has us in the palm of His hand. No matter your trial, remember to always be joyful in the God of your salvation!

Even though the fig trees have no blossoms,

    and there are no grapes on the vines;

even though the olive crop fails,

    and the fields lie empty and barren;

even though the flocks die in the fields,

    and the cattle barns are empty,

yet I will rejoice in the Lord!

    I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!

Habakkuk 3:17-18
