It's been a severe breakfast season and ended up being a victim also. I was hoping you'd lend me some time to grieve. So can I go ahead?

Tayo and I have been dating for some months now and it has been a rollercoaster of every emotion you can think of. Although largely, it's been very beautiful.

I love to be showed off and gifted a lot, which is part of what I miss badly as Tayo made sure I got all of these on a platter.

But something started to change. Ever since the commencement of the strike, he has been on my neck to relocate to the UK, Newcastle particularly which I didn't really buy into.

Japa plan sounds interesting and you're probably upset I don't feel the same way about it, isn't it? But here's the thing.

Tayo and I met on the metaverse sometime in June, 2021. We started out as friends and then graduated into a relationship. He resides in the US and had always wished that I relocated as soon as I round up my BSC program. I'm in 300 level now and if not for the strike, I should have been proceeding into final year by July to round up soon and then catch up with the love of my life.

Now this is where the heat started. When the strike commences in February, we decided to be patient till M arch with hopes that it wasn't going to stretch for this long.

Then the rollover happened in April and Tayo started to suggest getting an admission in the UK, so I could relocate, get better/quality education and fix my life all round.

I was a little confused because of all the expenses and efforts that had gone into school already, and didn't think it was a good decision to give up now. He however insisted this would be a safe landing to better opportunities.

Eventually, I yielded and we started to source for schools that offer my choice of course. Found a scholarship program in sync with my course and part of the requirements for admission was to tender a statement of purpose.

Since I have no idea how this works, I pleaded with Tayo to help me out but he insisted I took full responsibility of the academic requirements whilst he caters to the financial aspects.

Then he told me about the FS Academy that offers a free course on "How to Win Scholarship Abroad as a HND or 2.2 graduate".

I browsed and discovered the course is not restricted to anyone at all as it offers very detailed study on everything that concerns how to win a scholarship program abroad including how to write a compelling statement of purpose.

I enrolled for the course but didn't start immediately. Procrastinated until I skipped deadline for document submission and this was how I lost this particular chance.

Since I didn't have a valid reason for procrastinating unnecessarily, Tayo took offence, told me he couldn't keep pushing me all the time and asked we went our separate ways.

Judging me at this point is valid but whilst you do that, I am encouraging that you don't take chances with any form of opportunity presented before you.

, this course is relevant for everybody especially as the biggest dream of any Nigerian is to japa, I'd recommend you rush this course now that it's free with even a certificate at the end of the day to reward your learning and reward your CV.
