Hello ,

My Dear Millionaire friend,

Chapter Twenty-Five

Making Long-term Decisions

A. What To Do After NYSC

It is important to have a goal in life; your goal should be something you truly believe in. The best way to answer the question of what to do after your one year of service to your dear country is to discover what makes you happy, and then work forward from there.

If you have a passion for something, then it is likely that you will enjoy doing it, and if you are passionate about something, then it is also likely that you will put in the necessary time and effort to achieve your goals.

For instance, if you have a goal to make a difference in the world through technology and business, you would want to create products that help to solve technological problems and business challenges. You will ensure these products are easy for people with no technical knowledge or experience in usage. Any job that does not allow you to pursue this goal should be a no-go area for you.

As an individual, there are many jobs that you can do, but they don't all have the same value to you. You may not resonate with them even if they are high-paying. However, it is important to enjoy the job if it’s something you want to do for a long time. You should be genuinely interested in whatever will make you persistent and wealthy.

If your goal is to help other people, then it is better to choose a job that helps others. For a start, you may choose any job that comes your way, but you shouldn’t do it for long. The most important thing is to find out what kind of work makes you happy and do it for as long as possible!

Do something you are good at and enjoy doing. If you do not like what you are doing then it would not be worth doing. While I may not be able to tell you what to do exactly, I can give you some advice on how to make the best choice for your life.

1.    Your work structure:

First, consider what kind of work environment fits your personality. Do you like working in an office or at home? Are you more comfortable meeting with clients, or do you prefer working alone? One way to make sure you are making the right decision is to consider each job option's fit with your personality, interests, and skills.

If you have a lot of experience working alone, but enjoy meeting with clients, try finding a job that allows you to do both. If you prefer working from home and don't mind meeting with clients, look for an office job that allows for remote work. If you enjoy working in an office environment, look for a job at a company with similar values and goals. If you prefer working alone, consider applying for jobs that allow for some degree of independence or flexibility.

2.    Your skillset:

Next, think about what kind of role suits your skillset best. Do you want to be a manager? An editor? A researcher? If you are a great writer and would love to work somewhere where people appreciate your work, then maybe look for a job that requires you to write for magazines or other publications. If your skills lie in accounting or business management, then look for work in those fields.

If you are especially creative and would like to find a job that allows you to use those skills—maybe even become an artist—then look into creative jobs such as graphic design or web design. If you are an expert at writing technical documents but aren't confident speaking in public, consider taking on a role where you are responsible for writing technical documents but don't need to speak publicly about them. Finally, don't be afraid to take risks! Even if it seems like there are few options available to you financially or otherwise right now, don't worry! You will probably find something awesome soon enough.

B.  What location to live

Deciding where you want to live is a big decision, and you should make it thoughtfully.

When choosing to live in a home, whether it is a house or an apartment, there are many factors to consider. Whether you want to live near family or just enjoy the convenience of living downtown, this section will help you find the perfect location for your needs.

·     Research:

First of all, think about what kind of life you want to have. Then, do some research on the area in which you will be living. The location of your home should be based on the living conditions and the kind of neighbourhoods your family will spend most of their time in.

After deciding where you want to live, start looking at the communities within your chosen city. You might want to live in a more upscale neighbourhood where many single-family homes with large lots and plenty of space for gardens and animals or a more affordable neighbourhood would still suit your needs.

If you have children, you will want them to go to good schools and have access to certain facilities. The best way to find out what's best for you is to talk to other families who live in the same area as you. Ask for certain factors such as a history of theft, incidents, disaster, safety, proximity to the major roads and landmarks and cost of utility bills.

·     Budget:

You should also consider the overall cost of living there. You can't just assume that you can move somewhere else because it is cheaper. The rent may be cheaper but more expensive in terms of transport. You will end up spending more money if you don’t put the entire cost into perspective. Take how much time you will have to commute from work into account. Finally, make sure that any housing options are affordable by comparing them with similar areas in your current city or state.

·     Safety

If you have children, then the schools in your new location should also be considered. Make sure that it is a safe place for raising children and that there are good schools nearby. Is there a good school district in the area? Do the schools have good reputations for the growth and development of a child? What about the safety of their extracurricular activities? Are there any hospitals and police stations nearby? If so, what are their schedules like? The availability of safe areas is an important factor when choosing a neighbourhood. Some cities have excellent CCTVs and security guards while others do not.

·     Infrastructure

You will also want to ask if there is a good public transit system available in this new place. If not, how far away is it from public transportation hubs? Do they offer bus or train service directly into major cities or suburbs where there are job opportunities? If so, how far is it from those hubs anyway? If possible, look into nearby amenities like stadiums, museums, tourist centres, parks or libraries as well.

C.  Choice of Place of Fellowship or Worship

Throughout history, many churches have risen and fallen. Some have been burned down by angry mobs, while others have taken on a life of their own and become large enough to be considered countries or even empires. As a Christian, one of the most important questions you will find yourself asking is “Which Church to go to?”

The question of where to go for worship has plagued humanity since the beginning of time and it will continue to be asked for generations to come. When you are looking for a church, it can be hard to know what to look for. What do you want from your new place of worship? And what about all those different denominations that seem to be sprouting up everywhere? The answer to this question will determine how much time and energy you are willing to invest in your faith, as well as the quality of life you can expect to have.

While the question of which Church to go to can be a difficult one with so many options to pick from, here are some helpful guidelines that will help narrow down your options:

·     Your Belief System

The first step to answering this question is figuring out where you stand on matters of faith. You should ask yourself if you believe in God or not. Do you believe in Jesus Christ? If so, what does your religious experience look like? Are there any parts of some doctrines that don't work for you? You should consider whether or not they have a strong understanding of the Bible. Once those questions have been answered, it is time to decide which church best fits your needs. There are many different denominations within Christianity; however, some churches are more liberal than others.

·     Your commitment

You should also consider how much time each church requires its members or workers to spend each week (whether it be Sunday morning services or weekly Bible study classes). Do they work with other Churches in their community? Are they open to discussing new ideas? What values do they hold dear? These are all questions you should ask yourself before choosing a church.

·     Your brethren

This is another important question to ask yourself when choosing a Church. What kind of people do they want in their congregation? Are you comfortable with their standards for personal conduct? Do you feel like this is an environment where you would fit in well? Do you feel like it is an environment where you could grow spiritually as well as socially? Does this feel like home for you? These questions will help guide your decision about which church is right for your needs.

D. Getting mentors

The questions of life are many and varied, but they all can be boiled down to one thing: what does it mean to be human? Humans have always been curious about the world around them, and why it is as it is. We ask questions about our past and our future, about how we fit into the grand scheme of things. We wonder about our purpose in this world and we consider what it means to be human—or whether or not we even deserve that title. Hence, we all need mentors.

So, who is a mentor and why do you need one?

A mentor is someone who has your best interests at heart and will help you reach your goals, whether they're personal or professional. One of the most common reasons people seek out mentors is to gain access to resources or information that will help them achieve their goals. A mentor can not only provide you with that information but he or she can also help you navigate through the process of finding or developing it.

Mentors are also important because they can serve as an example for your career path and offer advice on how to handle certain situations in your work life. They often have experience in similar fields, which means they're likely to have success stories as well as good ideas about how best to move forward with them. Finally, mentors can help you develop a network of other professionals who might be able to help you further in your career.

In this day and age, it is easy to feel like you are alone in your quest to answer the questions of life. But if you take the time to reach out to mentors, you will find that they are a constant source of encouragement and wisdom. The first step is simple: ask yourself what kind of mentor you need. If it is someone who can help you with your career goals, then try getting in touch with someone in your industry who has made it on their own. If it is someone who can help you with your personal life, go for a friend or family member who has been there for you in similar situations.

Once you have identified your mentor(s), be sure to follow up. It is the easiest way to stay connected with them and show them how much their support means to you. When you write thank-you notes or emails after getting together with your mentor (thereby maintaining an ongoing relationship), make sure it is specific and thoughtful—don't just say “thank you” or “you are awesome.” Say something specific about what they did for or helped with, as well as how their input has impacted/changed your life in some way. I have mentors in different sectors. Mr. Dare Mudasiru is my mentor, Dr. Abib is my billionaire mentor etc.
