Dear all,
Although Brazilian voters have finally put an end to a nightmare of a presidency, re-reelecting one of the most charismatic political figures of modern politics, and USA and China did find a bit of time to chat with each other during G20, the grass will never be green enough.
The overall sentiment towards the global economy is still pretty dire. How long will it take to officially declare it a recession? A stock market crash? A bubble bursting? Well now one knows and no one ever did. One thing is certain: these moments happen over and over again throughout the course of many, many years. Human behaviour doesn’t change, just the circumstances.
Just need to look at the first ever known market bubble: the Dutch tulip bulb market bubble. Yes, tulips!
Back in the mid 1600s in Holland there was such a hype around these flowers, that people were betting all their belongings, crops or inventory to get a piece of that fragrant profit (rings a bell or two, right?).
Read the whole story here. It’s whimsical and absolutely worth it 🤓
Happy reading!
Take care,
Your André
