Your Love Song

My dearest one,

Let me tell you how I see you— you are so thrilling to me. To gaze upon you is like looking at one of Pharaoh’s finest horses— a strong, regal steed pulling his royal chariot.

Your tender cheeks are aglow— my glory (& the love you find here) set them ablaze.

You are my darling companion. You stand out from all the rest. For though the curse of sin surrounds you, still you remain as pure as a lily. You are marked by redeeming grace.

You are truly mine, the very theme of my song. YOU'RE overshadowed by my Love. Sitting under my grace-shadow, you blossom in my shade, enjoying the sweet taste of my delicious fruit, resting with delight where my glory never fades.

My presence releases a fragrance so pleasing. My left hand cradles your head while my right hand holds you close. You are at rest in this love.

So I have a burning desire to see your radiant face and hear your sweet voice. How beautiful your eyes of worship and lovely your voice in prayer. You must catch the troubling foxes, those sly little foxes that hinder our relationship. For they raid our budding vineyard of love to ruin what I’ve planted within you. I am here to help you; never left your side.

Arise, my love, my beautiful companion, and run with me to the HIGHER PLACE.
