What if I only scrolled past your life (the things that matter and on the days you need a hug) like an Instagram feed?

What if you had to sacrifice goats for your lies, cows for your pride and chickens for the little sins you might not remember?

What if you can only find me in sacred buildings or at the peaks of mountains?

What if you had to pay for air in dollars (since naira has lost its value)?

What if you had to serve a god you do not know and can never know?

What if the wage for your works is salvation? How much strength do you have? Are you skilled enough or smart enough to qualify for that wage?

What if you only had to obey the over 600 laws in the old testament?

What if there were just medications for every of your illnesses?

What if I had my earphones plugged in when you're talking?

What if I left without a comforter and asked you to be strong all by yourself?

What if life ended here and like an unbeliever you're left with no hopes of a better place?

What if I didn't show up on the days I did? What if I didn't love you like I did or you never came to the knowledge of that love?

We could go on and on and on, . At this point, have you found reasons to be grateful? What if the what ifs weren't what ifs, that'd be a disaster right?

Step into a season of gratitude, dear one, you don't have to wait for the 'big things' or the spectacular. Don't get too familiar with my 'little' blessings. Rejoice, , rejoice.
