Newness sure looks good on you! But you know how on your device you can't download that new movie or song or document or even use your applications without glitches because - it's filled up and most often than not with unnecessary stuff. That's what bothers me, .

Many times I turn the pages for men and they step into new chapters halfheartedly, distracted and full - then they experience just the half of what I intended. Look at the Israelites, I closed the chapter of Egypt and walked with them through the red sea. They were excited about the new (or their expectations of it) but in their heart, they carried Egypt- the old. Desiring the food and the pleasures at the expense of their freedom. It was such a big deal they expressed the fullness of Egypt in creating a golden calf even when they were far from the land - the idols were in their hearts. 

, I know you said Yes to the new. I know you're ready to start soaring and operating in it. But only to the measure at which you carry me can you walk in my newness. I'm not asking for what you think I need - worship, praise, tithes and offering, even time in the secret place while in your heart dwells idols of self, ambitions, approval, work, money, bitterness, strife, malice, gluttony, your devices and the rest. All popping up every now and then even in the new. 

Your worship and sacrifices makes sense in holiness, obedience and consecration. Ask Saul.
