Hey Daddy's Girl,

It's about that time of the year where you celebrate your earthly Fathers. You buy them gifts and cards or simply say nice things to them. Oh I'm not jealous, I'm rather pleased you came through that man - your caretaker.

I know what it's like to be called Daddy; to lose a child; to have my children celebrate me or rebel against me; to have them call me wicked or strict or uncaring or to have them honor me.

I know your earthly father may not have painted the right picture of how I want you to relate with me. {I see just how much your own Father is trying - or not?}. I see Fathers who abuse their own and cause their children great pain. I see Fathers who do not protect and provide for their families. I see those who have abandoned their own.

That's nothing like who I am. I'll always have you in my arms and read you bed-time stories which are revelations of mysteries.

I'll always correct you when you are wrong - trust it is out of love.

I will always protect you - it isn't past me to send those naughty boys away from my daughter. #RoyaltyOnly

Count on me to always provide for you (i know when you need a sanitary pad and lipstick) and I am never too late.

I will never miss your birthdays or your best days. I will never leave your side on your worst days.

I'd be right there on your wedding day to give your hands to my own son. I can go on and on about all the things I will do as your Father.

So even when your earthly Father seems not to measure up, remember these two things:

1. He is your father by design and not by mistake; love and honour the authority I have given him. Forgive his faults and pray for him.

2. I am your HEAVENLY father; I am without fault and limits. , sit in my laps and be fathered by me. Honor, Love and Commune with me.

Your identity is found in me, (even if my name is not on your birth certificate) - you are called by my name!

Happy Father of all Fathers day to me😁

So how about you celebrate me in worship tonight (and of course forever) or write me a Father's day note?

Your Perfect Father,

Abba💙
