Hey
A couple of weeks ago I went for my usual grocery shopping and my list included red grapes & red apples. Unfortunately, red grapes and red apples were no where to be found. I checked a couple of other stores and discovered the same thing.
With deep sadness in my heart (very dramatic lol) I decided to stop the search but not before I bought some cucumbers. I had seen a post by a fitness coach on instagram about the awesome combination of pineapples and cucumbers so I decided to try out this mix.
Lo and behold it was a super delicious combination and over the next couple of weeks I have made this mixture and totally forgot about the unavailability of my favs.
This experience reminded me of what it means to make lemonade out of lemons.
“It’s not what you don’t have that limits you, it’s what you have but don’t know how to use”
Truth is, I have been a victim before, a victim of life.
A person who sees the cup as half empty rather than half full.
A person who undermines the value they carry.
That was my former life.
Everything changed when I embraced the habit of always looking inwards, looking at how to make whatever I have work, basically becoming committed to making lemonades out of the lemons that life threw at me.
You want to know which side of the equation you are on, do a test…
Notice how many times you complain when things don’t go exactly as you intended. Or when something you want isn’t available and rather than use what is available you complain.
Truth is life won’t always throw you flowers, sometimes it might be thorns. To maintain your joy and interrupted peace you will have to learn to make the most of what you have and complain less about what you don’t
This week I hope you make lemonades out of the lemons life throws at you
Have splendid week
