If you're not 100% 😧

A few days ago I had a bad headache again.
I was planning to write an email and schedule posts for the group.
But I couldn't.
Not because I didn't want to. But because I was in no condition to do anything brain-related, really 🤯
Sometimes discipline and willpower don't matter.
You either have the resource to do something, or you don't.
Calling myself lazy wouldn't help.
So I did some easy household chores: watered the plants, washed the dishes in the sink, took the trash out.
While doing these, I thought about what I was going to write. But I didn't sit down to do it. I went to bed and let myself rest.
With English, it can be the same:
You have a routine, and you try to stick to it.
But we are human, and sometimes we catch a cold, or get a migraine.
And at that moment, you might ask yourself:
Should I cancel the lesson? Or should I push myself through it?
The only answer I can give you is:
Listen to yourself and be honest with yourself.
You know if you're feeling 100%, 60%, or less.
You know if you can do it, or not.
Don't force yourself to attend a lesson if you can barely think straight.
It's not laziness - it's common sense.
Feel well and take care of yourself,
Tania.
PS:
If you feel that you can't have a lesson - which is not always easy, even with a laid-back and easy-going teacher like me - but you feel well enough to want to keep English fresh in your mind, you can do an easier or shorter task. Something like a Movie Workbook where you can do one short and easy task and check your answers in 15-20 minutes.
