a hole in the sofa
Feb 21, 2022 8:29 am
Obviously, Nelson (my older cat) loves the same spot on the sofa I do.
Whenever I leave it and then come back, he's there.
Maybe he likes it because it has my scent.
Or maybe because there is a nice depression in that part of the sofa which is cozy to curl up in.
(*depression here doesn't mean "the feeling of unhappiness over a period of time". It means "a part of a surface that is lower than the other parts" = углубление)
I sit there so often that I made a hole in the sofa 😏
When you do something very often, you'll make an impact, whether you want it or not.
- If you regularly plan the exact activities to improve your English this week or month, you have a bigger chance of actually doing them.
- If you regularly post or comment in our group in English, you'll eventually stop being afraid of writing in English.
- If you learn and use a new phrase every day, more of them will stick.
If you want to make a "depression" in your English results, let me know how I can help you.
I've been thinking of some easy-do-do trainings, but I need your help choosing what would be most useful for you now:
- cleaning up 5 "favorite" mistakes
- 3 activities to do if you're learning without a teacher
- how not to learn vocabulary
Choose one (or suggest your own).
Let's take the first step at making a depression in your English.
Competing with the cat for the place on the sofa,
Tania.
