Hi ,
I hope you're doing well. It's been a while since our last update and my team and I have made some good progress that I'm finally able to share.
In the past few months, the Codelessly editor has become much more mature and usable. The editor is now 90% production ready and I hope to reveal more in the upcoming weeks.
One of our major breakthroughs is in code generation. A challenge with code gen is generating valid code that corresponds directly to the target language (i.e. generating code that actually works). Our solution is to generate the code by parsing it directly from the source, the Flutter SDK!
First, we process all of Flutter's widgets into code gen templates. Then, we automatically generate bindings to connect the templates with the editor. This allows us to establish a mathematical 1 - 1 relationship between the editor and the generated code, with the goal of maintaining referential integrity and generating valid code.
Here, take a look.

The dream of being able to turn designs into working apps and websites in just a few clicks is getting closer every day!
If you have experience in code generation and would like to help turn that dream into reality, Codelessly has a place for you! We're hiring for a developer with experience in code gen to help develop our code gen tools. If you're interested in code gen or have worked on code gen tools before, please introduce yourself and send your Github link to [email protected] (or reply to this email).
I also have an openings for part-time app development for those looking for development opportunities. Please email me if you are available and are interested in some contractual work.
At Codelessly, we don't approach problems with solutions. Instead, we aim to fundamentally re-engineer the underlying foundation so problems no longer exist. If you're tired of all the problems in software development, join us on our mission and be part of the solution.
Finally, for those of you interested in Codelessly because you'd like to turn your designs into working apps and websites, I hope to share more about our editor next week!
Yours truly,
Ray @ Codelessly
