Here are the interesting survey results from last week.
We wanted to get a sense of what people wanted. The choices were:
- Design to Flutter Code Converter
- Cloud UI / Code Push
- Flutter UI Builder and Code Generator
- Flutter Design System
- Flutter App Builder

Interestingly,
- Developers hated the idea of a Flutter App Builder. 50% were not interested at all.
- They were much more receptive to all the other options, with Cloud UI the highest at 34%.
- Non-developers were the most interested in a Flutter App Builder with 30% answering "Take My Money Now!" and over 90% showing interest.
- Flutter UI templates had the most cross over, with the highest percentage of both cohorts interested.
- Surprisingly, over 80% of respondents were interested in a Design System, a relatively new concept.
- A Flutter Design System interested the most number of developers. Again, surprising for a new concept.
- In ranked choice voting, many people selected Design to Code conversion as their top choice. People who were interested in Design to Code were really interested.
- People not interested in Design to Code were also very not interested, consistently ranking it low 1-2s.
My takeaway is that people are more interested in software that enables vs software that improves. More about that next week. Until then, what are your thoughts?
